Now that school is back in session I think I may actually have time to curl my hair, paint my nails and spend a little more time on my makeup…haha who am I kidding?! I’ve got a baby!!! But seriously, over the past few months I’ve discovered some great beauty products that I simply can’t live without. And as an added bonus none of them are more than $20! Continue reading
Let’s be honest. When it comes to Christmas and all of the hustle and bustle, it’s seems like there’s never enough time to get everything done. Then to add to the stress, someone inevitably asks you what YOU want for Christmas and you draw a complete blank. I don’t know how many times, over the years, I’ve had no idea what to ask Santa for because I haven’t even stopped to think about it. So for those needing some ideas, whether you’re looking for someone or you’re needing ideas for yourself, here’s some of my favorite things (not saying I actually own them but they are certainly things on my wish list).
NuMe Curling Wand
This is one I’m SUPER excited about because I actually bought it for Christmas for myself. The story is this: The hubby picked up something for him, I picked up something for me. Win-win!! I discovered this wand after I started following Abby from Twist Me Pretty on Instagram. She has awesome hair tutorials and I might add, her family is adorable! You have to check out her blog if you haven’t already. Anyway, she rants and raves about this product and I have always been envious of her hair after seeing her use it. I don’t know how many times I would “oh” and “ah” over the NuMe Curling Wand she uses in her tutorials but one day I knew I had to get one. NuMe is currently running a Holiday Sale where if you use DEC39 you get any curling wand for $39.99. Continue reading
Being beautiful, who doesn’t want to be? And let’s face it, I can honestly say that I do not wake up looking like I do. The problem is most days I don’t want to get ready, but when I do am so glad I did and love myself so much more. Continue reading
Ok so…confession time, I LOVE MAKEUP!!!!! Remember my organized makeup drawer? Yep, OBSSESED with makeup. I love to experiment with colors, tips and tricks but with 2 crazy boys (plus one on the way) and an insanely busy husband, getting ready in a timely manner is important. So let’s talk about a few of my favorite everyday makeup products.
My daughter, Paityn, is 9 years old, is in the 4th grade and already is struggling with wondering if she is pretty or not. They will discuss at school what they are going to wear, how they are going to wear their hair and ask if they think it will be pretty. I remember being in the 4th grade and not even caring at that age if my hair looked nice let alone my clothes. I believe we are raising our daughters in a time where image is everything and that is what the world would have them think. She is already asking “When can I wear make-up?” As if that will enhance her beauty. Continue reading
Well the cats out of the bag and I have finally announced on social media that our family is expecting a sweet baby boy in late December! Either the Lord knows what he’s doing or he’s got a really great sense of humor sending me my 3rd boy. I really am excited for this new bundle of joy and know that all 4 of my boys will forever spoil and take care of me. Perks of being the only girl, right? Pregnancy can be a wonderful, hard experience but I enjoy it every time. I’m one of those crazy ladies who LOVES being pregnant, despite all the potentially unpleasant things that accompanies it. I’ve always had a certain routine for trying to alleviate stretch marks. With some advice from a good friend years ago I have stuck with the routine through all pregnancies and it has worked remarkably. Please know that it will not work for everyone, but hey, it’s worth a try right?!
I’m not going to claim to be a beauty expert – not even close – but every girl has to admit there’s certain beauty products that make them feel pretty and maybe even dolled-up a bit. I even have a few that once I run out, I feel lost and my routine tends to get out of whack.
Here’s five of my must-have beauty products that I always have on hand (I don’t use all of them every single day but close). 🙂 Continue reading
I’ve been told a few times that I’m somewhat high maintenance. Uh, you say that like it’s a bad thing? I just like being well put together and presentable as much as possible. (I actually think that’s one of the things my hubby likes about me lol) So…I won’t take it as an insult but as a compliment.
Hopefully I’ve peaked your interest into what my favorite ‘high maintenance’ must-haves are.
So without further ado, in no particular order, here they are! Continue reading
