Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE to sew. For years I struggled to find the perfect caddy to keep all my supplies in. A couple years ago I came up with this toolbox sewing caddy and it’s seriously the best way to organize all my supplies.  This is super simple to make and only requires a few supplies.

Toolbox (I purchased an old used one from our local Army Surplus store for $10)
Spray Paint

Let’s face it, being a mom is crazy, hectic and stressful. We all had good intentions of filling out those precious baby books, and maybe we even did it with our first born but as the months/years went by and the number of children in the house increased, you simply didn’t have time to devote to that little book. Well let me introduce you to an AMAZING idea. One that I can’t even claim as mine. My sweet aunt Margaret started this idea YEARS ago and has continued it ever since. My mom told me of the idea and encouraged all us girls to do it, she even bought us the supplies!
Introducing  the easiest, most sentimental project you will ever do… the Memory Journal
Supplies
Spiral bound notebook (at least 100 pages)
Pen (or pens if you want a variety of colors)
Memories 🙂

Obviously there are TONS of ways you could make your notebook cuter and more decorative but I just wanted to have mine done quick so I could start using it ASAP.

Today we have a special treat for everyone. We decided to start a new series called “Triple Tuesday!” Simply put, we each do the same project but come up with three different ways of doing it.

This was really fun for us! It was kind of coincidental. One day, Misty sent a picture of a filing cabinet she just bought and wanted to refinish. Ironically, Michelle had just bought one the week before…with the hopes of refinishing it as well. Then the next day, while talking to Marie about the fact that we each had cabinet we were going to redo, she said she had one TOO and wanting to do the same thing. No Way! Really? We were thinking the same thing practically at the same time? We really are sisters!

We hope you enjoy this new series as much as we enjoy doing them!

So let me just start off saying that this project was both a HUGE pain but a HUGER (is that a word?) success! It took many hours digging through recipes, both in my recipe book and my favs saved on Pinterest, lots of copying and pasting, lots of typing and LOTS of patience. There were so many times I considered giving up on the project all together but I’m SOOO glad I didn’t!!!!! So, if you’re considering this project be sure you understand how much patience you’ll need to complete it…and if you’re a busy wife and mom like I am, go into knowing it’s not just a few day project. So…if I haven’t scared you off yet, let’s get started! Continue reading

I’d like to introduce you to a little place I lovingly call “Organization Nation”. Now don’t get me wrong, my house has plenty areas of clutter, every normal house does, right? So despite what my husband might think (lol) I really enjoy organizing. I’ve found, seen and come up with some great hacks to organizing along the way and want to share them!

For today, let’s focus on the bathroom!

You’ve seen those silverware organizers in the kitchen section at the store, right? I got mine from Walmart. Forget actually using them for silverware–where’s the creativity in that?! Let’s organize our makeup!

I know, I know, I have a LOT of makeup. Let's just say I love variety.

Do you ever get those cool perfume sets that come in boxes? Let’s just say Victoria’s Secret is my hubby’s go-to place for gifts…and I’m NOT complaining! Call me a pack-rat but I always save these boxes for organizing! I used this cute one for fingernail polish! Continue reading
