Ok, fellow Pinners. I think it’s safe to assume everyone has heard of Pinterest by now and if you’re anything like me, you have created boards up the wazoo and have hundreds, if not thousands, of pins under each board. But how many times do you go back and actually use, look or make the pin you pinned? My record isn’t very good at the moment. Let’s take my recipe board for example. I have close to 800 recipes pinned but honestly, I’ve only tried a handful. Sad but true.

This leads me to the purpose of my post today. I think the problem for me is I find a recipe I like (and more importantly, a recipe my family likes) and it becomes my go-to recipe. That’s not entirely bad but as I’m writing this, I’m thinking to myself I should branch out a bit. Try something new. So if you have found yourself in the same predicament, I’m here to share a couple of my favorite pinned recipes that are maybe new to you and in my opinion, definitely worth trying at least once.

Old-fashioned Pancakes
This one is at the top of my list for a reason. It’s that good! We love pancakes (and waffles) at our house. There’s something about these old-fashioned pancakes that won me over the first time I tried them. Pancakes for dinner anyone? Yep, pretty sure that when I first tried this recipe. Some days just scream pancakes for dinner. This recipe is easy and you likely have all the ingredients on hand. These pancakes are especially delicious with jam and makes enough that I usually have leftover batter for the next morning…if I’m feeling pancakes two meals in a row.

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
We like pizza at our house but we LOVE homemade pizza even more. This whole wheat pizza dough is my all-time favorite dough recipe I’ve found on Pinterest. It uses wheat flour and parmesan cheese and it’s all mixed in a food processor. A few things I do differently. I press the dough onto a cookie sheet (yes, it makes enough) and we had more traditional toppings on ours. It’s delicious, quick and easy. My kind of homemade pizza!

Cilantro Lime Chicken (Crock Pot)
Marie actually tried the cilantro lime chicken recipe before I did but then noticed I had it in my pins as well. Once we tried it, we’ve been hooked ever since. It’s made with 6 ingredients and is done in the crock pot so put all the ingredients in and leave it until dinner. Throw it on some tortillas topped with cheese and it’s awesome! I usually make Spanish rice with it too as a side dish.

One Pot Cheesy Sausage Pasta
This recipe had me at “one pot.” I mean, we all know the last thing anybody wants to do after cooking a meal for the ENTIRE family is to have to clean up all the dirty dishes too. I’ve made this cheesy sausage pasta numerous times and it always turns out awesome. It’s scrumptious and makes a ton. You’ll thank me later for the lack of dishes you’ll have to clean.

Roasted Spiced Sweet Potatoes
We love sweet potatoes or yams at our house. We don’t do russet very often so when I ran across a sweet potato recipe that didn’t contain a ton of sugar, marshmallows and butter, I had to give it a try. This recipe has the perfect amount of spices which compliment each other nicely. To make clean up super easy, I throw some tin foil on the pan before the sweet potatoes. This recipe is a nice alternative to the normal sweet potato casserole.

Bruschetta Chicken Bake
Delicious! Super easy and quick! Did I get your attention? This is just a simple recipe that makes a lot and tastes good. I was trying to find a different chicken recipe when I came across this Bruschetta Chicken Bake. I had to try it. A recipe to keep on hand on those days where you get home, everyone is hungry and you need to throw something together quickly. So good!

Teriyaki Sauce
Who likes to make their own sauces rather than buy them? This girl. Not for everything, of course, and not all the time but when I found this teriyaki sauce recipe I had to try it. We like teriyaki chicken and this recipe is the closest I have found to the restaurant style sauce. Try it. I have a feeling you’ll think the same too.

It’s definitely a wide range of recipes but all are oh, so good. I promise.

I remember at one point I was hesitant to get a Pinterest account (did I just admit that?) but now that I have one, I don’t know why I was. It’s awesome and my recipe board is one of my biggest boards. Thanks bloggers and Pinterest for inspiring me with all of your creativity and deliciousness! What about you? Do you have some go-to Pinterest recipes?
