Spot It!
This matching card game is so simple. Perfect for adults and kids. Over the years they’ve come out with some really fun versions of this game. We own the original version.
How to play:
There is always one, and only one, matching symbol between any two cards. You need a sharp eye and a quick hand to play as you call out the matching symbol and grab the card. Once the deck is gone the player with the most cards wins. Accommodating up to eight players, Spot it! is easy to learn and really addicting!

Rummikub
This game is older but somehow I was just introduced to it a couple years ago. I was instantly addicted. I’ve taught my 8 year old how to play and he enjoys it as well. This one is fun because if you have a large group you can combine 2 games and enjoy one large game as a family. Just be sure you mark one set of the tiles so once you’re done playing separating them is easy.
How to play:
Players take turns using their tiles to combine numbers and colors to create runs and sets. The first player to use all their tiles wins.

Bonkers
This game is SERIOUSLY a family favorite. I can remember playing this game ALL. THE. TIME. growing up. It’s not being made anymore but I was able to find a used one a couple years ago on Amazon. Shane and I seriously love this game. This game will always hold a special place in my heart. I can distinctly remember my mom teaching me how to play it. It really is fun, so if you can find it, buy  it!
How to play:
Players move around the board and place their game tiles on the board. Game tiles can have you move forward or backward, make you roll again, jump ahead to a score and more, meaning this game is NEVER the same twice. The first person to score 12 points wins.

Blokus
I can’t remember how I exactly found this game but it’s like multi-player tetris! It’s so fun! Once again, perfect for kids and adults, they even make a kids version! They also have a Trigon version that’s really fun and challenging as well (I’m wondering if the Trigon and Jr version are discontinued because I had a hard time finding them for a reasonable price). We always bust this game out for Thanksgiving and play a few heated rounds. 🙂
How to play:
Players take turns placing their 21 pieces on the board, corner to corner. The player to get most (if not all) their pieces on the board wins. It sounds easy but as the board fills up it gets really challenging!

Sharp Shooters
This game belongs to my mom but I always make her bring it on our annual camping family reunion each July. There have been many cold, rainy nights we’ve enjoyed playing this game for countless rounds. It’s easy to learn and play and is pretty addicting.
How to play:
Each player uses their dice to roll and try to fill slots on the card. Each dice slot has a chip value and once the slot is full you are awarded the chips. But beware, some slots have a negative chip value!
